The Editorial Office of the journal Ethnological debates accepts original articles which have not been published and are not in press or under consideration for publication by another publisher at the time of submission, as well as revised English versions of articles, originally published in native languages. In the latter case author(s) should inform the Editorial Office about original publication.
In case of ethical problems arising in the process of peer reviewing the editors use the principles of Publishing Ethics Resource Kit.
Guidelines for the Use of Artificial Intelligence Tools
The journal’s policies permit the use of artificial intelligence (AI) exclusively as an auxiliary tool in manuscript preparation. AI tools may be used to improve the readability and language of a manuscript or to assist with data visualisation. The use of AI (generation of images, graphs, tables, etc.) must be properly cited in accordance with the journal’s guidelines.
Authors must review and edit all content generated or modified using AI tools and technologies to ensure its accuracy, completeness, and impartiality. Authors bear full responsibility for the integrity and originality of their work, as well as for any errors introduced by AI.
AI-generated outputs must not replace essential authorial tasks, such as text generation, data collection, hypothesis formulation, data interpretation, and data analysis. The misuse of AI tools to falsify data, commit plagiarism, or fabricate citations is strictly prohibited. The use of AI to circumvent standard peer-review procedures is considered unethical.
